Freda Scales Salt Creek Wetlands

Salt Creek streamside properties are a priority for Woodland Savanna Land Conservancy. Pastor Freda Scales donated two very wild wetland acres on the bank of this waterway in Porter County with more to be added as part of her estate, all to become the Freda Scales Wildlife Area. Preserving fragile areas along the creek also gives us standing for legal protective measures that may occur in some future time. This photo shows stream monitoring in Spring 2012.
