Geiselman Island on Long Lake north of Valparaiso, 12 acres, can be viewed directly across from the public boat launch area on West Long Lake Road (70E). Boat access to the Island is not recommended; it is treacherous and dangerous because surrounded by an aquatic forest of waterlilies. This small island is thought to be relatively undisturbed since the Native American era.
