From turnips to trees–Twelve acres are in process of reverting to woodland from marginal farm fields acquired as a family project in the early 1990s. State-grown seedlings were planted on a former turnip field. Today they form a rich, young woodland of high tree diversity that touches the Kingsbury Fish and Wildlife area of LaPorte County.
